About Design and Development Division

Designing is the Backbone of Engineering and understanding the fabrication drawing of any equipment is the primary requirement of engineering/Industry. This Division has been established with the objective to teach and train the students on designing and development of drawings of various equipments and machinery in theory and practical classes respectively.

Besides teaching and training , this division develops design and fabrication drawings of various equipments of sugar factory on demand from factory on payment basis. Presently the division has around 150 designs of various equipments of various capacity and around 700 tracings of detailed fabrication drawings.

Activities of the Division are related to; teach and train the students of various PG & certificate courses in designing and drawing of various equipments used in sugar industry by using AutoCAD, Development of fabrication drawings of various equipments of sugar factory as per factory demand, Consultancy services to the sugar factories on designing , operation , co-generation ,energy conservation and water conservation related matters.

The division also under takes performance assesment of Biomass based co-generation plants on behalf of "Ministry of New and Renewable Energy", Government of India.
