TRAINING IN RESEARCH
The institute has excellent facilities for undertaking research in all areas relating to sugar & allied industry. There are very well equipped laboratories in all the divisions. Some of the important equipment include HPLC, GLC, AAS, FPLC, LAB Fermentor, Uv-Vis spectrophotomenter, IR Spectrophotometer, Haake & Brookefield viscometer , Sucromat, Pulse Polarograph etc. There are excellent computational facilities on Pentium III computers. The institute is also equipped with a large collection of National & International scientific, technical & engineering books, journals & abstracts including Chemical Abstracts & Sugar Industry Abstracts in its fully air conditioned library.

for (i) & (ii)-- One year or three off-seasons of four months each followed or preceded by practical training for two cane crushing seasons in a sugar factory.

Qualification for admission
M.Sc. in Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Agricultural Chemistry of the
following Universities which have recognized the Institute as a center for advanced research:-
Agra, Madras, Punjab, Sagar, Travancore, Calcutta, Poona, Bombay, Andhra, Annamalai, Gujarat, Kanpur, Nagpur, Vikram, Meerutt, and Banaras Hindu University.
The selected candidates will get their names registered for Ph.D. degree of a University by applying through the Director specifying their subject and the name of the Research Officer under whose guidance the research is to be conducted.

detailed advertisement is issued every year in the month of April
in leading newspaper and in Employment news. The last date for
submission of completed application forms is generally in the second
week of May. Admissions will be carried as per the following
