The Bureau of sugar standards prepares & issues new sugar standards for the sugar industry every year. The new sugar standards, valid for the period 1st October of the year of issue to 30th September of the subsequent year, are issued by the Bureau of Sugar standards starting from the first week of October every year. The following eight standards in three color series and four grain sizes are being distributed w.e.f  October 16, 2007

The current price schedule of sugar standards is given below:-

* Includes 10% tax on glass bottles. Rates subject to revision without prior notice.
Other charges e.g. trade tax @ 10% (on glass bottles, teakwood box and packing cases) and postal expenses will be extra and will have to be borne by the customer. Further details may be had from the institute.
The amount may be remitted in the form of a crossed Demand Draft in favour of Director, National  Sugar  Institute, Kalianpur, Kanpur and should be payable State Bank of India, Kalianpur Branch (Branch Code 1962), Kanpur. Cheques /drafts of subsidiary banks are not acceptable under any circumstances.
. In case you require the standards by post, packing, forwarding and postal charges extra on actual basis. The institute will not be responsible for damages during transit.

1. Empty bottles will be recieved Monday to Friday between 10.00 AM - 5.00 Pm and the filled standards will be delivered the following working day. 
2. Weekly closing is on Saturday and Sunday.
3. As empty bottles are not available, old bottles must accompany requests for refilling / renewals.
