The activities of the institute are guided by an Advisory board set up by the Government of India. The Joint Secretary (Sugar), Ministry of Consumer Affairs ,Food & Public Distribution, Government of India , New Delhi is the Chairman of Advisory board and the Director, National Sugar Institute Kanpur is the member Secretary.
